Xandy directed the HBO film Trespass with an award-winning cast, including Harry Lennix (Ray, 24, Matrix Revolutions). The film made its debut at the Chicago International Film Festival before being aired by HBO. Its success has lead, in part, to the feature projects he now has in development.
In the meantime, Xandy has directed music videos for everything from chart-topping rock to YouTube-sensation rap, and even the cult genre of psychobilly. Still, his career thrives in commercials; he spent several years assisting some of the industry's top commercial directors while cutting his teeth as an editor, learning the 30-second format very intimately. Since joining Nola Pictures, he has helmed numerous national spots, as well as collaborated with a fellow Nola director on a campaign for Verizon.
Xandy was intrigued by filmmaking from a young age and made his first movie at the age of four. With a father who is a writer and film editor, and a mother who is a professional storyteller, he grew up in an environment that encouraged the arts and he continued exploring motion picture and visual arts one project at a time.
Xandy graduated from NYU's film program with several accomplished projects under his belt. His thesis film, Falling for Toby, was well received at several festivals, and The Catcher, a film about a JD Salinger fanatic, is frequently circulated on the web by Salinger fans. Xandy's passion is film–commercial, music video, or otherwise–and that passion is embodied by his anticipation and enthusiasm for the next great project on his horizon.
